Salma Basset

Salma is an experience corporate lawyer who has great experience in various legal sectors. She is experienced in Labor and corporate general matters including the review and drafting of relevant contracts and documentations. Salma has wide experience in the legal and commercial advisory work, which includes preparation of legal memos and opinions in different legal topics. Salma is experience in labor matters including advising on employment agreements and pre-dispute settlements. Salma’s areas of expertise include advising on several legal/commercial matters in different and various legal areas.

Salma is experienced in company and commercial work in Egypt and has wide experience in drafting and reviewing several types of commercial agreements (including advertising, lease, sale, marketing, franchise and services agreements).

Salma has experience in the corporate secretarial work for companies in Egypt and has experience in due diligence processes, drafting of memos pertaining to different laws including Intellectual Property Law, Companies Law, Environmental Law, Capital Market Law, Labor Law and Social Insurance Law.

Salma is further experienced in Egyptian Labor Law and drafting of employment. She assisted in advising multinational companies on pre-dispute matters including termination of employment contracts and providing amicable solutions. She also provides continuous advice to foreign companies on the internal regulations of companies and the legislative requirements of employers including HSE internal regulations.

Prior to joining Shield Advocates, Salma was a senior associate at a top tier law firm in Egypt for a period of three years and prior to that she was an associate at a top regional law firm in Egypt for a period of four years.

• Assisting a major clothing brand to set their online private policy and online purchase conditions.
